Person-Centred Therapist MNCPS (Acc.).

Welcome to Chapman Counselling!

You might be here because something feels heavy right now — or because you want to understand yourself in a deeper way. Maybe you’ve been the one who holds it all together for everyone else, and you’re wondering if it’s okay to ask for support for yourself, too.

It is.

In my counselling room, you’re welcome just as you are — even if you don’t have the right words yet. This is a space where you don’t have to pretend or filter what you say. Here, all your feelings and emotions are invited: your confusion, your hope, your worry, your relief.

I believe you know yourself best. My role is to walk alongside you, with warmth, curiosity, and respect. Together, we can make sense of what you’re carrying and find ways to move forward that feel right for you.

About Me

Person-Centred Counselling for adults, children and young people in Inverurie or online.
Caroline Brunton

Hello!

I’m Caroline, a fully qualified person-centred counsellor based in Inverurie, offering both in-person and online sessions. I believe that you deserve a safe, supportive space where you can say what needs to be said — without fear of judgment.

My own experiences with stress, anxiety, and loss showed me just how valuable it can be to have someone really listen. Someone to sit with you, to hold the space for your words, your tears, your hopes. That’s what I offer you now.

Before counselling, I spent over 20 years working in education — a role that showed me how much people, young and old, carry behind the scenes. Supporting children, families, and staff gave me a deep respect for the strength it takes to keep going when life feels hard. It’s the relational side of that work — the human connection — that led me naturally to counselling.

If you’re a young person, or caring for one, I understand the unique challenges that can come with growing up, feeling misunderstood, or struggling to find your voice. My background in teaching and volunteering with Childline has shaped the way I sit alongside young people — with patience, curiosity, and care.

I’m also passionate about creating a safe, inclusive space for neurodivergent clients. I’ve trained further in autism and related areas, so you can bring your whole self to counselling — in your own way, at your own pace.

Whatever you’re working through — a specific issue, a difficult transition, or a longing to know yourself better — you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’ll meet you with warmth, acceptance, and respect for who you are.

If you’d like to know more about how I work, or to see if we’re a good fit, I’d love to hear from you.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling from the University of Aberdeen, and I’ve worked with a number of organisations, including:

  • The Bounds, University of Aberdeen

  • Mental Health Aberdeen

  • Third Level Foundation

  • Childline

I am fully insured, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS1824). This means I adhere to a professional code of ethics accredited by the Professional Standards Authority – giving you reassurance that my work meets high standards of care and confidentiality.
